    An oil dispersant spray system is a specialized setup used to apply chemical dispersants over oil spills on water surfaces. The dispersants break down the oil into smaller droplets, promoting natural biodegradation and reducing environmental impact. These systems are essential for quick and efficient spill response, especially in marine environments. VENS OIL DISPERSANT SPRAY SYSTEM The Vens spray range of oil dispersant spray systems are suitable for operation on land, from inshore and offshore vessels; including tugs, supply vessels and workboats. Vens spray systems are portable and can be operated from almost any “vessel of opportunity”. Vens spray systems are compatible with Spray Arms and Nozzles for the application of neat or dilute dispersant. Also available with Hand Lances for use on small patches of oil or cleaning, on land or inshore. Dispersant dilution level is adjusted by manual flow control valves, and accuracy can be enhanced with the optional dilute flow rate indicator. Vens spray systems can be supplied with a wheel kit that mounts to the chassis for improved manoeuvrability. Models The Vens spray range includes three models: • Vens spray 50 - designed for operation from inshore vessels and produces a maximum output of 60 litres per minute. • Vens spray 100 - designed for operation from inshore and offshore vessels and produces a maximum output of 100 litres per minute. • Vens spray 200 - designed for operation from larger offshore vessels and produces a maximum output of 150 litres per minute.     An API oil-water separator with an oil skimmer is a system designed to remove oil and other hydrocarbons from water using gravity separation. The API separator utilizes a series of baffles to allow oil to float to the surface, where it is then removed by the oil skimmer. Commonly used in industrial and refinery applications, this system ensures compliance with environmental standards by efficiently separating oil from water. API separator The API separator is a gravity separation device designed using Stokes' law principles that define the rise velocity of oil droplets based on their density, size and water properties. The design of the separator is based on the specific gravity difference between the oil and the wastewater because that difference is much smaller than the specific gravity difference between the suspended solids and water. Based on that design criterion, most of the suspended solids will settle to the bottom of the separator as a sediment layer, the oil will rise to top of the separator, and the wastewater will be the middle layer between the oil on top and the solids on the bottom.The API Design Standards, when correctly applied, make adjustments to the geometry, design and size of the separator beyond simple Stokes Law principles. This includes allowances for water flow entrance and exit turbulence losses as well as other factors. API Specification 421 requires a minimum length to width ratio of 5:1 and minimum depth-to-width ratio of 0.3:0.5. Typically in operation of API separators the oil layer, which may contain entrained water and attached suspended solids, is continually skimmed off. This removed oily layer may be re-processing to recover valuable products, or disposed of. The heavier bottom sediment layer is removed by a chain and flight scraper (or similar device) and a sludge pump.

A coalescing filter or coalescer is an industrial device that separates fluid mixtures into individual components. Industrial process fluids contain various impurities like sulfur, ethane, carbon dioxide (CO2), water vapor, methane, etc. To maintain the quality of the final product, these impurities must be removed from the mixture. Coalescer plays an important role in separating these impurities from the mixture using the principle of coalescence. What is an Oil Coalescer? An oil coalescer is a filtration system that removes gasolene, diesel, non-emulsified oil, and fuels from a waste stream. Closely spaced oil attracting media is used in the oil coalescers to promote agglomeration of larger oil particles, which then flow up the surface. Coalescer is a superior separation technology that forces two tiny oil droplets to 'coalesce' to form a giant droplet to produce excellent oil and water separation. The Coalescer is a fantastic oil-water separator that uses coalescing material to remove up to 95% of all floating oil from the water's surface. Function of Coalescer The primary function of a coalescer is to separate mixtures or emulsions into their individual components using various methods. They can separate mixtures both from homogenous or heterogeneous mixtures. A coalescing filter can be used independently or as a component of a larger separating unit. Coalescers are widely used as oil treating equipment. Working Principle of Coalescer A coalescer or coalescing filter or filter coalescer consists of several baffle walls or screens located at different points inside the device. The mixture to be separated is then applied to the filter. The baffles of the separation device screen out the components by trapping them in different sections. The screening mechanism works using the molecular weight and density of individual components. For example, in water-oil separation (liquid-liquid coalescer), the baffle walls present inside the coalescer separates the heavier oil molecules in one direction to a drain point. At the same time, the water vapor molecules diffuse through the filter element to agglomerate which is then drained out of the system gravitationally. Similarly, in the case of gas-water separation, When the gas stream with water droplets is fed through the coalescer inlet, they diffuse through the filter element, and exit via an outlet port as dehydrated gas.
